Twos & Early Preschool
Rising Stars Daycare offers a program for Two-year Olds which is a preparation for our three year old program. Such program focuses on developing independence for toddlers, teaching self help skills and learning fine motor skills:
- pencil control and scissor control (how to hold a pencil and scissors while cutting or drawing on straight lines)
- preschool concepts such as shapes and colors
- math
- language
- science/sensory
- dramatic play
- families and cultures
- practical life
- toilet training
- creative art
At times, two-year olds experience many conflicting emotions. From observation, social skills start to emerge where our teachers will use these “teachable moments” to help in this possibly difficult process. Rising Stars Daycare will help each child to be able to express their feelings and define those emotions. Once they recognize those emotions we introduce ways to solve their problems independently. Particularly, our toilet training program guides each child through the toileting process and encourages independence and self confidence as they transition from diapers to underpants.
